Ron Thomas Retires from the Institute of Makers of Explosives (IME)

IME congratulates Ron Thomas, IME’s Director of Technical Services, upon his retirement from the Institute on December 31, 2017. During his tenure with IME, Ron was the staff liaison for IME’s Security Committee, Technical Committee and T&D Committee and he was actively engaged in issues related to IME’s quantitative risk assessment software tool, IMESAFR. Ron worked with IME members, federal regulators and many other industry experts on explosives issues of concern to IME. 
 
Prior to joining IME’s staff in September 2013, Ron had served in the explosives business for over forty years and always enjoyed his time presenting, authoring papers, and serving on association committees.  We thank Ron for his enthusiastic service to the explosives industry and wish him and his family all the very best on his retirement.
