Founded in 1956 and now in its third generation of family ownership, Nelson Brothers Inc. has a long history in the explosives industry, including the development, manufacture, and supply of billions of pounds of PowerNel™ emulsion. While Nelson Brothers Inc. has exited the manufacture of emulsion explosives and related field services, it continues to manufacture PIBSA-based emulsifiers for explosives manufacturers worldwide through its Nelson Brothers Specialty Chemicals business. This business draws on decades of experience in the development and manufacture of emulsifier chemistry used in explosive emulsion systems.
