DOT Offers Free Emergency Response Training in Hagerstown, MD on Sept. 12

In response to the incident on I-70 in Western Maryland last August, IME coordinated with the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) to hold free emergency response training in Hagerstown, MD on Sept. 12, 2013. The seminar will be held at the Hilton's Homewood Suites, 1650 Pullman Lane, Hagerstown, MD 21740, starting time 8:15am. Register for this and other free training at http://opsweb.phmsa.dot.gov/hm_seminars/default_workshop.asp. Please pass this information on to others in the areas covered and encourage them to inform their local emergency responders.
Personal invitations have been sent by PHMSA to local fire departments that responded to the 2012 incident. IME will present a session on proper response to highway incidents involving industrial explosives at the Hagerstown session.
