Rahall to Run for Re-election in the House

Rep. Nick Rahall, D-WV-3, will soon announce he is running for a 20th term in the House, bypassing a race to replace retiring Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-WV.  Rep. Rahall is the ranking member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.  In that role, he has been very helpful to industry in key issues such a standards for multipurpose bulk trucks, and hazmat safety permits.  He is also recognized as a leader on coal issues critical to the state.  Last year, Rep. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV-2) announced her candidacy for the open Senate seat.
