Committees and Subcommittees

IME standing committees can be created or terminated by actions of the Board of Governors, including an amendment to the IME Bylaws.  The Board Governor for each Regular and Associate Member company may assign up to one primary representative and one alternate representative to any respective standing committee.  See the IME Policy & Procedures Manual for exceptions related to the Legal Affairs Committee and the Government Affairs Committee.

IME's standing committees are as follows.  Subcommittee web pages may be found by clicking on the standing committee page(s).

The UN Committee is a subcommittee of the Board of Governors.

The Steering Committee is a subcommittee of the Board of Governors.  The LEAD Group is a working group of the Steering Committee.

The past Committee Chairs from 1979 to present are listed here.

It is the responsibility of the standing committee chair (or the vice chair in the absence of the chair) to oversee the conduct of the committee to ensure that it performs its assigned duties in accordance with the Committee Policy and Guidelines, as approved by the Board of Governors.
