PHMSA Proposal on In-transit Storage References SLP-27

The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) published the anticipated advanced notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPRM) on in-transit storage of explosives in the Federal Register on November 16th.  The ANPRM lists various regulations, standards, and recommendations related to explosives transportation and commerce including IME SLP-27.  The ANPRM asks the public to comment on the need for regulations in this area and if so, what should they be?

Comments are due February 14, 2006 and unless instructed otherwise by member companies, IME will submit comments developed through its T&D Committee.  Please feel free to send your thoughts for consideration in our comments to info@ime.org.
