House Appropriations Committee Rejects Explosives User Taxes and Fees

On June 10th, the House Appropriations Committee reported HR 2862, the FY 06 appropriations bill for the departments of State, Justice, and Commerce.  ATF's budget is included in this legislation.  While the Committee fully-funded that ATF budget request, it rejected the Administration's proposals for $123 million in user taxes and fees.
