DHS Posts Q&A Clarifying Status of ANFO in Regards to Appendix A


At IME’s intense urging, the Department of Homeland Security has clarified the regulatory impact of the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standard (CFATS) on ammonium nitrate fuel oil mixtures (ANFO). 

The written determination further reinforces IME’s understanding of the impact of CFATS on all Class 1 materials.
