Director of Communications and Marketing

Daphne Veliadis

Daphne Veliadis serves as the Director of Communications & Marketing at the Institute of Makers of Explosives (IME), where she leads the organization's communications, marketing, media relations, and digital strategy. In her role, she works to strengthen IME's visibility, engage members and industry stakeholders, and promote awareness of the commercial explosives industry's contributions to the U.S. economy.

Prior to joining IME, Veliadis served as Director of Marketing & Customer Experience at Pratum Companies, where she oversaw corporate communications, marketing strategy, brand management, and customer experience initiatives across a portfolio of more than 140 communities, including affordable housing. Her professional background includes strategic communications, digital transformation, and cross-functional leadership.

Veliadis earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University and her Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Business Analytics from William & Mary.
