IME Announces New Safety and Security Publication for Oil and Gas Operations
Washington, DC -- The Institute of Makers of Explosives (IME) announces the release of new Safety Library Publication 32, Recommendations for Safe and Secure Use, Storage, and Transportation of Commercial Explosives in Oil and Gas Operations (SLP-32). IME’s mission is to promote safety and security for the commercial explosives industry. This safety and security publication, which was developed by IME’s Oilfield Services Subcommittee, is designed to offer best practices for the manufacturing and transportation of explosive articles used in well completions and abandonment projects. This is IME’s first publication directed specifically to the end-users of explosives in oil and gas operations. Many of IME's company members are engaged in oil and gas-related operations.
