IMESAFR Training opportunities Expanded

IME and APT Research are pleased to announce new IMESAFR v2.1 training opportunities, including two international venues.  Training will be held November 12-14, 2019 in Ottawa, Canada; December 17-19, 2019 in Mons, Belgium; January 7-9, 2020 in Washington State (location TBD); and January 22-24, 2020 in advance of the ISEE Annual Conference on Explosives and Blasting in Denver, Colorado.  Training on the AN module will also be offered during most courses.  IMESAFR is a quantitative risk assessment tool that provides a science-based alternative to traditional (and sometimes outdated) quantity-distance tables.  In recent years, there have been significant developments in the application and acceptance of IMESAFR by government bodies to meet regulatory requirements, fostered by the transparent work of the IMESAFR Science Panel.  For more information on IMESAFR or these training opportunities, please contact Dr. Joshua Hoffman, IME’s Director of Technical Services, or IME’s consultant and developer, APT Research, Inc.
