IME Announces New Safety Publication

IME is pleased to announce the publication of the Example Security Plan for the Transportation of Hazardous Materials , which is the newest addition to our safety and security library.  Like all IME Safety Library Publications and Guidelines, the new transportation security template is available for free download at www.ime.org.  The publication includes information on the following:  key aspects of DOT regulation; risk assessment; job applicant information; hazmat controls and procedures; enroute security; measures for elevated threat levels; incident and threat response and reporting; communicating with law enforcement; employee training; and internal audits, among other valuable information.   The Example Security Plan for the Transportation of Hazardous Materials was developed through the joint effort of the SLP-27 Subcommittee and the SLP-14 Subcommittee.
